We don't play that one as much as you think.

Re: Protected: Worship Team Updates

I already knew the broadcast and intro would probably be related to "Further Up, Further In". I just kind of saw that coming....
Sarah and I can make room for studio practice things on the weekend with no problem. We are very flexible on weekends, and we don't go to night church every Sunday night, so that's flexible as well.
As far as the original songs go, we don't do enough of your home-grown songs. FUFI is already a great song. "Words" is a fun song I would like to do again, but we need to dust off all of your creations and really comb through them and make all of them (which are by default, good) greater songs.

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 2

Oh yes. I've heard the canned bumpers Jay had to use for the first broadcast.
And then I picked myself up off the floor after a seizure.

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 2

Also, are we going to be trying to aim at doing live-stream studies on sunday morning eventually on the radio program? If you need the worship team for doing something authentic for the bumper music, then we just need a date, time, place to be so we can get that off the ground.

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 2

I also am thinking about tweaking something on the bassline in the chorus for "Prince of Peace", but it will depend on if I can find the tabs and song online so I can practice it before Sunday.
Also, Dave, we started the book of Romans on Sunday, if that gives you any ideas for song lineup.

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 2

Thought of the week is a really good quote. There is a song with one of its verses saying "You are more than the sum of your past mistakes". Lots of people believe that what they've done in the past makes them who they currently are. However, I think that each encouraging act done by another is going to have an impact on our character more than the things we have done.

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 1

Good pick. I was thinking a few minutes ago about the sufficiency of grace. Jesus paid the whole tab and there's not even a tip left that we have to cover.

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 1

I'm thinking for next week (and I'll post this seperately when this week's YDS comes out), but how about "Jesus Paid it All" and "Prince of Peace".

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 1

I'll think about it ans get back to you.

OH HOLY CRAP DISCUSSING THINGS IS TERRIFYING!!

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 1

G, D, Em, C. Then buy a capo.
I think Mike plays electric as well. Hopefully we will be blessed with some engineering support so he can play as well when he wants to. So, multiple electric guitars! Can you ever have enough? No. No, you can't.

Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 1

Thanks. The only problem is, she is just now beginning to learn the bare-bones basics of guitar and chords. Needless to say, she needs a teacher for whatever her instructional book cannot teach, which is going to be a lot....
Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 1

very professional and organized into very thoughtout topics this is pretty cool
Re: Protected: YDS – Feb Week 1

This is a test comment, to show you guys how totally not scary it is to discuss things here.

Re: Keep Your Grip

"gain without cost is empty" reminds me of last weeks message where Pastor Jay highlighted when Joseph gave food and seed to the Egyptian people, but they had to give their land and become servants.

Re: All Things New

Many thanks.
