Burnout: I personally haven't had many days of this, but trust me, when I am feeling like that, I will tell you guys. Everyone needs a day off, so there should be no pressure, but we should do what we do out of love, not obligation of any sort. If anyone is feeling a burnout day coming or knows is going to be off that Sunday, then please send a text/email/call somebody who will relay it.
Practice: Tri-weekly may be a good start off for practice. Every other week would be best. It will be impossible to map out a set schedule for songs for weeks after the immediate Sunday. We should focus on songs for the immediate Sunday at practice and possibly practice a couple that have a high likelihood of being in the Sundays after that, but it will be impossible to do whole sets for 2, 3, 4 weeks after that. And besides, the Spirit leads on the turn of a dime, so our song set is bound to change 30 minutes before worship starts.
Arranging: No comment really. Along with the practice, so the arrangements for each song will come.
Technololologisticalness: It's nice to hear of all the tech stuff that Dave and Mike are concocting, but we need to make a run to the store for these things. I do get tired of hearing over countless months what all we need and what we could do with new cables/gear. But we need to go to the store and get the stuff. That would be forward motion. Let's have a day to worry about the new tech especially over the summer (since the stage is still set up) so that we can get the stuff and make it work. I wish I were tech savvy as both Dave and Mike, but am not, so I have a lot to learn and catch up on.
I am going to check out what Mike posted about headphone monitors and see where we can go from there. One thing is for sure: we need to get rid of as much wire and cables as possible in an attempt to transition our tech because the more we cables/wires we add, the more complex our setups become and the more interference/noise we will get.
In other news, I like Mike on cello, but I am not expecting that to be every single week (though it would be pleasant if it were).

Gear we need: At the moment we're doing pretty well with gear. We could always use one or two more mics, but that's not a necessity. If we do end up using all of our mics, we tend to run pretty short on cables (XLR's), so that's higher on the gear list from my point of view. We're also down a mic stand or two. One of ours may be repairable. I'll have to check.

Headphone monitors: I found something interesting here (http://www.musiciansfriend.... and ordered one to check it out. I'm sure it'd work okay for me and Kyle, but I'm not 100% sure we could pipe the actual monitor mix through it for Josh. The short summary of what it does is this: it takes the signal from an XLR cable and the signal from a 1/4" cable and lets you mix them into some headphones. So, your mic or the signal from your direct box can go through the XLR side and if you can get the monitor mix onto a 1/4" cable then you can control how much of you is in the mix. There are also other ways you could use this. For example, if Josh needs to hear Dave's guitar most of all, he could connect this box to the 1/4" output of Dave's direct box and make that as loud as he wants. It's not quite the same thing as having real in-ear monitors, but it's cheap and low tech and if we get inventive we can do some good things with this.

I already knew the broadcast and intro would probably be related to "Further Up, Further In". I just kind of saw that coming....
Sarah and I can make room for studio practice things on the weekend with no problem. We are very flexible on weekends, and we don't go to night church every Sunday night, so that's flexible as well.
As far as the original songs go, we don't do enough of your home-grown songs. FUFI is already a great song. "Words" is a fun song I would like to do again, but we need to dust off all of your creations and really comb through them and make all of them (which are by default, good) greater songs.

Also, are we going to be trying to aim at doing live-stream studies on sunday morning eventually on the radio program? If you need the worship team for doing something authentic for the bumper music, then we just need a date, time, place to be so we can get that off the ground.

I also am thinking about tweaking something on the bassline in the chorus for "Prince of Peace", but it will depend on if I can find the tabs and song online so I can practice it before Sunday.
Also, Dave, we started the book of Romans on Sunday, if that gives you any ideas for song lineup.

Thought of the week is a really good quote. There is a song with one of its verses saying "You are more than the sum of your past mistakes". Lots of people believe that what they've done in the past makes them who they currently are. However, I think that each encouraging act done by another is going to have an impact on our character more than the things we have done.

I told you, Dave, that there would be something good coming to worship team hopefully in the near future, so I would like to welcome our new prospective electric guitar player to the worship team, who happens to be Sarah. The only problem is, she is just now beginning to learn the bare-bones basics of guitar and chords. Needless to say, she needs a teacher for whatever her instructional book cannot teach, which is going to be a lot....
